Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano in her loft and being intrigued by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music not to get work or for a passion however, as a chance to develop. Her parents inspired her to write. Her influences include renowned authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her love for Bjork's style. She began performing her music in public when her mother said they can help other people, not be famous with her work but to make those around them see the importance of their work and how they can affect the world. When she began playing the piano, she was just six and started writing songs by the time she was nine. The family members didn't know about her music until she reached 14. Aurora's success was never the goal of her. Aurora is simply a writer who loves writing songs. For her music, is the most efficient method of expressing anything.
